This Privacy Policy applies to the YardCalc: Landscape & Material Estimator mobile application (referred to as "YardCalc", "the App", "we", "our", or "us"), developed by Srivatsa and distributed via the Google Play Store.

We are dedicated to safeguarding your privacy. This policy explains how YardCalc handles information when you install and use our application.

2. Information Collection and Use

We do NOT collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

YardCalc functions as a standalone utility calculation and estimating tool. Specifically:

• No User Account or Registration: You do not need to register, provide an email address, enter a phone number, or log in via third-party social providers to use the application.
• No Personal Identity Tracking: We do not ask for or collect your name, physical address, contact lists, financial details, or payment card numbers.
• No Location Data: The app does not request, track, or access your device's GPS coordinates or geographic location.
• No Biometrics, Camera, or Microphone Access: YardCalc does not request or use permissions for your device's camera, microphone, or biometric sensors.

3. Local Device Data Storage

When you create projects, input job measurements, configure custom unit costs, or save material estimates to a quote, all such information is stored exclusively within your device's local application storage (using Android's sandboxed local preferences database).

This data remains strictly on your device. It is never uploaded to any external server or cloud service managed by us.

4. Exporting and Sharing Quotes

YardCalc includes an optional feature that allows you to share project estimate quotes (for example, with clients, colleagues, or suppliers). When you tap the Share action, the app utilizes your Android device's native system sharing framework (the standard Android Share Sheet).

The text content of your quote is transferred directly to the application of your choice (such as your email client, messaging app, or notes app). YardCalc does not intercept, log, or transmit this shared content to our own servers.

5. Device Permissions

YardCalc operates with minimal Android system permissions:

• Vibration / Haptics: Used locally to provide tactile feedback when adjusting sliders, switches, and calculator inputs.
• Internet Access: Only utilized if you tap external links (such as navigating to the Google Play Store page to rate the app or contacting developer support via email). The core calculations and project database run completely without an internet connection.

6. Third-Party Services and Analytics

The app is downloaded and updated through the Google Play Store, operated by Google LLC. Google Play Services may automatically collect anonymous diagnostic metrics (such as aggregate installation statistics, OS version breakdown, and crash logs) in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

YardCalc does not embed third-party advertising SDKs, tracking pixels, or data broker analytics.

7. Children's Privacy

YardCalc is a general-purpose construction and landscape estimation tool designed for contractors, landscapers, and homeowners. It does not target or knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union), in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

8. Data Retention and Deletion Rights

Because all calculation and project data is stored locally on your device, you maintain complete and absolute control over your records:

• In-App Deletion: You can delete any individual calculation, quote item, or entire project directly from within the app at any time.
• Clearing Application Storage: You can wipe all app data at once through your Android settings under Settings > Apps > YardCalc > Storage > Clear Storage / Clear Data.
• Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling YardCalc from your device permanently removes all locally stored estimates and project configurations.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our application features, Google Play Developer Policies, or legal requirements. Any revisions will be published directly on this page with an updated Effective Date.
